Privacy notice

Who is responsible

The controller is Joshua, based in the United Kingdom, and the waitlist operates under the BS.CO brand. Contact us at hello@wearbs.comfor privacy questions or requests. We do not currently have a publishable postal business address or full legal entity details.

What we collect and why

• Your email address and signup/confirmation status, to operate the waitlist and send the updates you requested.
• Your selected age range when you join (13–15, 16–17, or 18 or over), to apply the waitlist's age rules. Under-13 visitors are not added to the waitlist. We do not ask for or store a date of birth.
• A confirmation token and related contact reference, to verify that you control the address and prevent an unrequested subscription.
• Technical and browser information processed by Cloudflare Turnstile when you complete the signup security check, to detect automated or abusive requests.
• If you allow analytics, usage information handled by Vercel Analytics to understand site traffic. Analytics is not loaded unless you opt in.

We do not ask for sensitive personal information, and the signup form should only be used with an email address you control.

Our lawful basis

We rely on your consent to send BS.CO marketing email updates. We use our legitimate interest in protecting the signup service and preventing abuse for limited security processing where the law permits. Optional analytics is based on your separate consent. You can withdraw your email consent at any time by emailing hello@wearbs.com.

Who processes the information

We use EmailOctopus to manage mailing-list contacts, Mailgun to send confirmation and welcome messages, Cloudflare Turnstile for signup security, and our hosting/storage providers to run the site and keep a private backup. If you opt in, Vercel Analytics also processes usage information. These providers process information for the purposes described above and under their own service terms.

Because the mailing list is offered globally and provider infrastructure may process information in multiple countries, your information may be transferred internationally. We have not yet verified the providers' processing locations, applicable transfer safeguards, or data-processing terms, so we cannot yet give a complete description of the safeguards for each transfer. We will update this notice when those checks are complete.

How long we keep it

Confirmed mailing-list records are kept while you remain subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time. Unconfirmed signup records are scheduled for deletion after their 24-hour confirmation window expires. A verified deletion request removes the contact from our mailing list and private backup; the email provider may retain a limited suppression record to prevent further messages.

To withdraw consent, request deletion, or exercise another privacy right, email hello@wearbs.com. All marketing messages must include a working unsubscribe link, and requests are processed through EmailOctopus. Please contact us if an unsubscribe request is not reflected promptly.

Children and guardian signups

The signup form asks you to choose an age range, not enter a date of birth. People under 13 cannot join: the form does not ask for their email, and the server rejects under-13 signup requests without storing them or sending email. People aged 13–17 may sign up using their own email and explicit marketing consent. Parents or guardians who want updates should sign up for themselves and choose their own age range. For eligible signups, the selected age range is kept in our private waitlist record. For people who select 13–15 or 16–17, we also apply an "under-18" tag to their EmailOctopus contact so we can identify those records. We do not use age to build advertising audiences or profiles. Open and click tracking is disabled for our site-generated emails and EmailOctopus campaigns. We do not collect a child's name or date of birth through the signup form. This design has not been independently assessed against the Children's Code or other local child-protection rules; legal review and a documented impact assessment are still needed before promoting the service to children.

For younger visitors, in plain English

If you are 13 or older and join, we keep your email and the age range you chose so we can run the waitlist and send the updates you agreed to receive. We do not ask for your birthday, make an advertising profile from your waitlist details, or use your email to target ads. Our email and hosting services help us operate the site. You can leave the list or ask us to delete your information at any time. If you are under 13, please do not enter your email; a parent or guardian can sign up for updates for themselves.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to be informed, access your personal data, have inaccurate data corrected, request erasure or restriction, object to processing, and receive portable data in applicable cases. You can withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent; this does not affect processing already carried out. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. You may also complain to the ICO. Rights and procedures can vary in other countries. To exercise a right, email hello@wearbs.com or submit an access or deletion request through our privacy request form. The Information Commissioner's Office is the UK supervisory authority. Security and changes

We use access controls and service-provider safeguards appropriate to this small waitlist, but no internet service can promise absolute security. We may update this notice when our processing changes. The latest version will be published on this page.
